Students Injured As 'Terrorists' Launch Cutlass Attack On Minna School

Suspected terrorists invaded Limawa Primary and Secondary Schools in Niger, shooting sporadically into the air before attacking the fleeing students with cutlasses.

A number of students in Niger have been hospitalised with with machete cuts following an attack on Limawa Primary and Secondary Schools in the state's capital, Minna.

According to several media reports, the attack occurred about 10:30 am Monday morning.

Student Pulse gathered that that the attackers shot sporadically into the air before attacking the fleeing students with cutlasses (machetes).

No number of casualties have been given by any recognised authority, but, quoting an unnamed government official, Sahara Reporters that two students were inflicted with machete cuts.

The report also stated that the attack was carried out by political thugs, not terrorists as rumored.

It is believed that quite a number of students were affected.

This is coming only days after at least 10 students were killed in a suicide bomber attack on the Federal College of Education (FCE), in Kontagora, followed by a foiled attack on Maryam Babangida College, Minna.

A week ago, almost 50 students were killed in another suicide attack carried out by a female suicide bomber at the Government Comprehensive Senior Science Secondary School, Potiskum, Yobe State.
