A lecturer at the Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Mr Wale Farawe, has died despite efforts by doctors at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, (LAUTHEC), Osogbo, to save his life.

Farawe died after 17 days in intensive care following an accident in which two of his students lost their lives
Farawe had been in intensive care since the 15th of August, 2014, following an auto crash that killed one of his students and a driver on the spot.
Student Pulse gathered that the deceased, a lecturer in the department of History and International Relations and his students had gone on an excursion to Ayikunugba Waterfall, Oke Ila, Osun State when the unfortunate incident occurred.
The 18-seater bus in which the students were traveling lost a tyre and the driver lost control.
The trip was part of event to mark History and International Studies Students’ Association, (HISSA) departmental press week.
Since the accident, Farawe fought to live but gave up the ghost on Monday.
Following his death, many students took to the UNIOSUN Students Government Facebook page to express their sadness over his dead.
"Can't just hold back the tears.... Its sad, really pathetic but we dare not question God!
"You were such an intelligent lecturer..your classes used to be filled with great enthusiasm! May your soul rest in peace," Abiola Oluwatobi Ibukun wrote.
"Mr. Farawe's burial comes up by 4pm today at his residence in IKIRE. Please be there so as to pay your final respect to the most gifted "teacher" in history department," said Elubeku Realkid Hoeluwhatoabie Harphurlhaby.
"We lost our dear lecturer to the cold hands of death. We will miss u boss. You wil always remain in our heart. We will forever remember you. Rest in perfect peace," Petite Bebe posted.
He is leaves behind a mother, his wife and two children.
