Only 29 of 12,600 students get 1st class as MAUTECH holds triple convocation

President Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned a newly constructed e-library at the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola.

Only 29 first class graduates will be given first class honors as the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola convokes 12,600.

In a statement during the pre-convocation Press Conference, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kyari Mohammed, said out of the 12,600 graduating students, 8401 will get first degrees made up of 29 first class certificates, 1491 upper second class, 4251 lower second class, 2449 third class, and 181 students who finished with pass degrees.

This convocation is the 18th, 19th and 20th of the MAUTECH.

The Vice Chancellor revealed that the University is set to unveil a Student’s Support Scheme which will help indigent students complete their programmes.

In a related development, President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned a newly constructed e-library at the university as part of the activities marking the convocation ceremonies.
