10-yr-old Al-Qalam University gets full NUC accreditation

Al-Qalam University, Katsina (AUK), has gotten full accreditation from the National University Commission (NUC) for four of its courses.

Al-Qalam University, Katsina (AUK), has gotten full accreditation from the National University Commission (NUC) for four of its courses.

The 10-year-old university announced the development in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Mustapha Bature.

The accredited courses include Arabic Studies, English Language, Islamic Studies and Computer Science.

Bature said the university will soon commence post-graduate programs.

It will be recalled that, on Thursday 29th of January, 2015, the NUC) announced that it had approved 18 new courses the university.

AUK was established in January 2005.

On its website, the institution said it is "expected to raise an educated, morally sound and Allah fearing society which is the pride of any community or nation."
