32-yr-old ‘gay’ teacher sacked for fondling 6 underage boys

A 32-year-old man who music classes at Reddam House, prominent private school in Cape Town, South Africa, has been accused of sexually assaulting pupils.

A 32-year-old man who music classes at Reddam House, prominent private school in Cape Town, South Africa, has been accused of sexually assaulting pupils.

The unnamed teacher is accused of fondling at least six boys, aged 9 and 10, during music lessons.

A News24 report says the school has terminated his contract.

The school's director Sheena Crawford-Kempster, said they will support investigation into the case.

"Reddam House takes these allegations very seriously," Crawford-Kempster said.

We reported the allegations to the SA Police Service and will work with the FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit) as the investigation unfolds."

According to the Western Cape police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, the suspect was arrested following at least a month-and-a-half long investigation.

"He appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate Court on Wednesday on charges of sexual assault," Wyk said.

"The 32-year-old suspect was released on R2,000 bail and investigation is ongoing. There is still the possibility of other victims coming forward."

The identity of the suspect has been kept secret to protect the identity of the children.
