3 fundamental truths about your relationship with God
Being a Christian in an ungodly world can be very difficult, however, these facts make it doable and worth your while.
In times like this, doubt, worries, depression, loneliness, and other negative emotions can come in.
Today, we are reminded of some fundamental truths, and the whole point of having a relationship with God.
They are:
1. God's love for you is endless: A lot of times, we run away from God when we sin or experience setbacks. We think our sins are too terrible for Him to forgive and that He is must definitely hate us. The danger in running away, rather than towards God, is that we are separated from Him, making us vulnerable to attacks from the Devil, who is constantly trying to get us on his team. Jeremiah 31:3 tells us, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you." God's love for us, His children, know no bounds. He is always ready with His arms, open wide, ready to take us in. All we have to do is come back to Him, like the repentant son in the Bible, and He will forgive all our trangressions.
2. He will NEVER abandon us: In Hebrews 13: 5, God says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." As children of God, we can hold on to this promise, even when the Devil tries to tell us, otherwise. Whenever, life, family, job, anything lets you down, remember that you will overcome because you have a God, that will NEVER "leave nor forsake you."

3. God wants the very best for us: The reason why we settle for less in life is because we think that is all we are worth. We believe lies, that we can not aim higher. We accept lousy jobs, relationships, behaviour from people, because we think that is all we can achieve. This kind of thinking limits how far we can go in life. Today, we are reminded of the ultimate truth, which is that God does not want mediocrity for His children, He want GREATNESS. In the video below, Oprah Winfrey says happiness, joy, success, and other good things are the birthrights of all children of God. Believing this, that God wants only the best for you, is a fundamental truth and benefit of your relationship with God. 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." God's desire for the best for His children is also seen in Jeremiah 29:11, which says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
