31 Christians to be sponsored by government on pilgrimage to Israel

Coordinator of the state Christian Pilgrims Board, Ghaza said the 31 pilgrims are clerics and officials that would serve as guides to other pilgrims from the state during the exercise.

The Yobe State government will be taking 31 Christians for this year’s pilgrimage to Israel.

Reports say the Coordinator of the state Christian Pilgrims Board, Hamza Baba Ghazal, disclosed this yesterday when he visited the state governor, Ibrahim Gaidam.

According to Daily Trust, Ghaza said the 31 pilgrims are clerics and officials that would serve as guides to other pilgrims from the state during the exercise.

The coordinator then thanked Yobe government for the gesture, adding that pilgrims will pray for the state and country.

The governor, who spoke through his deputy, Abubakar .D. Aliyu, said Yobe sponsors Christian and Muslim clerics on pilgrimage to pray for the state.
