Pastor Kills Himself After Impregnating Married Woman 4 Times

The late pastor was due to appear before a church disciplinary hearing over the alleged affair before he took his life

A pastor from Zimbabwe, Menard Zvenyika, accused of having an adulterous relationship has killed himself.

Reverend Zvenyika is also facing a $10,000 lawsuit from the man whose wife he had the adulterous affair with.

According to the country’s local news site, NewZimbabwe.com, the family members of rev. Zvenyika said he committed suicide by drinking poison at his home, he died on the way to the hospital.

Chezhira Mukobvu, who alleged that his 35-year-old wife, Rosemary Nyamukachi, was sleeping with the clergyman, dragged the pastor to court.

Zvenyika was due to appear before a church disciplinary hearing over the alleged affair.

“Pressure was mounting on him,” said a family member.

“His job was on the line since there was overwhelming evidence that he was involved in a relationship with a married woman yet he was also married. The hearing was scheduled for Monday.”

The pastor reportedly began the affair while Nyamukachi was working as a house help for him in 2008. The relationship resulted in the birth of a boy, which made the woman leave her matrimonial home.

Mukobvu wanted compensation from the late rev. Zvenyika for the damage the affair caused to his marriage and the pain he suffered after he was deprived of sex over the years.
