You have to give to receive
Acts 20:35 says, "....remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”
Using her Instagram account, she told a story of a lady that got pregnant, after buying something for the blogger's baby.
"A few days after I gave birth I went to buy a wrap for @tito.time 's «naming ceremony» & this lady offered to pay for it. I didn't know who she was & it was such a touching, unexpected gift. In that moment I silently prayed for her. It was a heartfelt prayer. I didn't know she was even still looking to God for the fruit of the womb. Now read her testimony! Your open hands will always open doors for you", her caption read.
This is a perfect illustration of how your blessings might be tied to your ability to give as generosity (giving cheerfully) is one of the most underrated ways to please God.
Luke 6:38 tells us to "give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Rather than spending time sleeping in Church, praying and fasting for days, why don't we just learn to give?
Giving does not reduce your wealth, rather it gives God more reasons to bless you.
Let us strive to be more generous, not necessarily to receive, but because God demands it and it is the right thing to do.
