Daddy G.O offers important advice to FG
The RCCG G.O's latest words affect the 2018 budget and its implementation.
This time, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) General Overseer’s words of advice concerning the health, education and poverty alleviation sector.
According to The Nation, Pastor Adeboye is urging the federal government to ensure that these sectors are well covered in the 2018 budget.
His advice was prompted by a new World Bank report that rated Nigeria as one of the most improved economies while noting that room for more investment in the above sectors.
In his words, “2018 budget must reflect our position in the new rating by the World Bank and we should produce a budget of unilateral that will benefit the average person.”
While complaining the failed implementation of the previous budgets over the last 10 years, the RCCG G.O advised the government to do better this time.
He said, “Those outfits that ought to enforce the compliance of utilisation of the fund should do their job.
”l have watched in the last 10 years, it is almost the same pattern in the area of execution. When you compare us with the developed world, they strictly spend the last kobo before the next budget year.”
This new words of advice were offered by Adeboye, represented by Pastor Johnson Odesola at the special prayer and thanksgiving service for fathers, intending fathers and their families at RCCG, national headquarters, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
Pastor Odesola is the National Secretary and Assistant General Overseer of the church.
