Operatives of the Department of State Security Services (DSS) today, August 3, stormed the National Secretariat of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja, over ongoing crisis stemming from plans by the party's leadership to cut down on staff strength by 50%.
DSS invades PDP National Secretariat
The aggrieved staff had vehemently kicked against plans by the party's National Working Committee (NWC) to cut down staff strength, salaries and allowances by 50%.

The DSS men were said to have invaded the secretariat to forestall impending chaos as while a meeting between the directors and leaders of the aggrieved workers held.
According to report, the DSS stayed in the premises for more than thirty minutes before they finally left.
