Party leadership meet with President Buhari

The meeting is the first of its kind, since the party snatched power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) working committee, on Monday, January 11, 2016, held a closed door meeting with President Buhari in the Presidential Villa.

Leading the team of APC stalwarts was the party’s national chairman, John Oyegun.

The meeting is the first of its kind, since the party snatched power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.

Channels Television reports that a party source hinted that internal party issues, implementation of the party’s campaign promises, security, among others were discussed.

John Odigie-Oyegun recently issued a stern warning to the PDP to stop insulting Buhari.

The APC has also denied influencing Abia Court of Appeal verdict.

Also, the party's governorship aspirant, Victor Olabintan was abducted on Monday, January 11, 2015, in Abuja.

The PDP has consistently accused the ruling party of being selective in its war against corruption.
