The former Governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu paid a condolence visit to the family of the former minister of transportation, Late Ojo Maduekwe.

The former Minister died at the age of 71 at his residence in Abuja, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.

Commenting on his death, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, Sen. Walid JubrinĀ  said he was shocked to learn about the death of Maduekwe.

The former minister was born on May 6, 1945 in Abia State.

Late Ojo Maduekwe was the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the PDP.

He attended the University of Nigeria Nsuka in 1972, where he obtained a degree in Law.
