Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, revealed that she financed her debut movie as a producer from her personal account.
Nigerian actress Yvonne Jegede, is one of the latest producers in Nollywood, and according to the actress, it was a very challenging journey.
The actress stepped into the producer's seat to make her debut in '3 is Company,' which premiered on July 3, 2015, at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island.
In an interview with Pulse Nigeria, the actress spoke on challenges she encountered while producing the movie.
“The fact that I had to finance it myself, from my account. It was very financially challenging initially. That’s why it took me that long to put the film together," she said.
Jegede also stated that being new as a producer, was also challenging;
"It wasn't easy because I was new. I had no idea what I was doing, but I just wanted to do something," she said.
In the interview, the actress also stated that she almost gave up when she ran out of cash. She also thanked her family and friends for supporting her.
