Movie Remakes of 2014

This year has been a great year for movies, next year promises to be a better year with Marvel movie sequels coming up and also movie remakes. In 2014, cinemas will be flooded with movie remakes and hopfeully they are better than their priors.

3 movie remakes to look forward to in 2014 are :

1. Godzilla : The first Godzilla movie came out in America in 1998 and this is the second remake. The movie is about Japanese monster; Godzilla and is set to air on the 16th of May 2014.

2. Robocop : The first Robocop movie came out in 1987, after which its 2 sequels came out in 1990 and 1993. The movie is about a multinational conglomerate OmniCorp and a man called Alex Murphy. He becomes critically injured by a car bomb outside his home and OmniCorp uses its knowledge of robotics to save him and give him a leg up against crime. Sony Entertainment has announced that the remake will be released on the 7th of February 2014. With advanced technology available, the remake is set to crush the original.

3. Annie : The initial movie came out in the 1980s and is about an orphan girl adopted by a wealthy politician. This remake is produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith and the child star ; Quvenzhané Wallis who is the youngest person ever to be nominated for an Oscar Award at ten years old. Quvenzhane is casted as Annie and the 11 year old will be earning $1.5 million for her role. Jamie Foxx will play the politician who adopts her. Annie is set to be released on the 19th of December 2014.
