Twitter marriage counsellors are from hell

I can’t stand them, I really can’t tolerate their existence. You know who I am talking about - the Twitter marriage counselors who think they know it all.

They are annoying as people who can’t keep quiet in cinema halls. I don’t like them and their know-it-all views on marriage. I find their numbered tweets irritating and their nuggets on marriage borderline stupid.

Last weekend the marriage counsellors came out in droves on Twitter thanks to the ugly drama in Tiwa Savage. It was a nightmare for me. My timeline was drowning in the most foolish marriage lessons and 'words of wisdom' from people who are barely married. Some of them are not even married. To make matters even worse some of them are not in serious relationships.

Unfortunately because of retweets and likes they believe they have the right to speak on a subject they know little or nothing about. Well that’s Nigeria for you in a nutshell- the people who talk the most are not experts really.

I am not married which makes me ineligible to speak about someone’s marital problems. Why should I talk about something that I do not know? This is common sense but you know what they say about common sense don’t you?

Social media is a drug and a lot of people are addicted to it. These so called counsellors of the Twitter elite are nothing but ignorant people addicted to likes. They snort likes and retweets like Tony Montana snorted cocaine in ''. What have they gone through in life for them to comment on other people’s lives? Most of them live shallow lives. Sorry not sorry but I can’t take marriage advice from anyone who has not been married for a decade or more. Anyone spilling marriage advice that does not meet this criteria is still yarning crap in my book.

The same goes for celebs like Freeze. For all I know the veteran on-air-personality is cool (no pun intended) but why should he speak on something he knows nothing of?

He criticized Tiwa Savage for her “‘pitch perfect’ interview, with a flawless visual background and superb audio quality” and said her interview would make Tee Billz more suicidal.

Hold up! If my memory serves me right wasn't Freeze the same guy who called the mother of his children an adulteress on Instagram and wrote more nasty things about her? Yes Freeze later apologized after talking to Tiwa but his initial thoughts underlines what I am saying here. People are just jumping on people’s misfortunes to appear hip, cool and knowledgeable.

Thank God for the mute button on Twitter. I am on a mission to make my timeline clean of all these Twitter counsellors who don’t know anything about the realities of celebrity marriages. I suggest you get rid of them on your timelines too. They are from hell.
