Infosys acquires Kallidus

Kallidus is a cloud-based digital commerce platform that links e-commerce channels.

Tech pundits say Infosys is going all out to make a mark in the Tech industry. This latest deal is coming after recently acquiring Panaya- a Software-as-a-Service provider  for $200 million in February

In an official statement, Infosys CEO Dr. Vishal Sikkain said: "We see the power of digital experiences in reaching consumers, and in particular retail shoppers in entirely new ways where the physical retail is being augmented and amplified by the digital.”

Kallidus is a cloud-based digital commerce platform that links e-commerce channels and creates opportunities for business to take place, through desktop, mobile apps and in-store channels.

Infosys says they will utilise Kallidus’ platform to bring more ‘digital shopping experience solutions and opportunities to its customers.’

The Deutsche Bank were the financial advisors for the deal. Infosys paid $120 million in cash for the deal.
