7 things you should know about Africa's largest tech and new media conference

The city of Lagos will be hosting the Social Media Week, a week-long conference that provides the ideas, trends, insights and inspiration to help people and businesses understand how to achieve more in a hyper-connected world. These are seven things you should know about the tech fair.

Date

The Social Media Week Lagos 2015 will be kicking off on Monday February 23 all through to Friday, February 27, 2015.

Speakers

223 professionals from various sectors of labour speakers have been scheduled to speak at the Social Media Week Lagos 2015. The speakers will speak at different sessions and at the about 129 events will hold at the five-day tech conference.

At the 5-day tech conference, they will be about 129 events holding which will cover several categories including Business, Culture, Tech, Media and Marketing.

Theme

The Social Media Week Lagos is part of the larger Social Media Week global conference, now in its 7th year and hosted in 21 cities around the world. The global theme of the 2 Social Media Week is ‘Upwardly Mobile: The Rise Of The Connected Class’.

Eminent personalities like Obiageli Ezekwesili, Sound Sultan, Chude Jideonwo, Jim Ovia, Jason Njoku, Gbenga Sesan among others have all be announced as featured speakers at the Social Media Week Lagos 2015.
