Ride sharing startup wins DEMO Africa mini-event in Cairo

Raye7 is a mobile app that facilitates ride-sharing within the user’s existing network of associates.

DEMO Africa stage offers startups the chance to pitch to investors and accelerator programs

Egypt-based ride-sharing app, Raye7 has emerged winner of the Cairo edition of the DEMOAfrica mini-events, Disrupt Africa reports.

This feat qualifies the ride sharing startup to participate at the 2015 DEMO Africa event.

Raye7 will be joining Shield Finance from Kenya, Ghana’s FlippyCampus and Zimbabwe’s RoadRule who have already qualified for the main event set for September 24 in Lagos, Nigeria.

The DEMO Africa main event for this year will see over 30 startups pitch their products before investors, entrepreneurs and other members of the tech ecosystem in Africa.

The event will hold in Lagos and application is still ongoing till tomorrow, June 30, 2015.
