Indigenous mobile advertising app officially launched

SiDon Media Ltd. has launched its flagship MyAds app, an app that gives its users the ability to host ads on the call screen of their mobile phones and get rewarded.

The app had earlier been introduced to subscribers on the Airtel Nigeria network before it was officially launched on October 29, 2015 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

"Nigeria's own Silicon Valley can produce the best apps in the world," said Simeon Ononobi, co-founder of the MyAds app during the unveiling of the app and Advertisers dashboard.

The company also unveiled its brand ambassadors – comedian Bethel Njoku a.k.a Senator and OAP Omotunde David a.k.a Lolo1 of Wazobia FM – at the launch event.

Personalities at the event include the founders of the app, Simeon and Madonna Ononobi, Mr. Rasheed Olaoluwa, CEO of Bank of Industry,  Francis Ebuehi, VP, VAS at Airtel Nigeria, Ovo Emorhokpor, CEO of Yuzah and many more. The MCs of the event were Chigurl and Andre Blaze.

The MyAds app gives corporate advertisers the ability to advertise directly on consumer’s mobile phones as well as target ads better. The users are also not left out as they will have the opportunity to earn points which can then be redeemed for airtime credit.

MyAds is available on all four major networks in Nigeria (Airtel, Glo, MTN, and Etisalat) as well as on the Google Play Store.
