Tech giant launches 'My Ramadan Companion' for muslims

The platform curates locally relevant information, tips, app and other tools that will benefit users during the ramadan season.

Ramadan is a holy month of fasting and supplication for muslims.

Reports reveal that Google has launched a website, My Ramadan Companion, to help muslim faithfuls make the most of the ramadan period.

According to sources, Google made the announcement yesterday. The platform curates locally relevant information, tips, app and other tools that will benefit users during the ramadan season.

Zain Kamal Masri, Google’s Associate Product Marketing Manager, Middle East and North Africa says, using the product, “You can find out the sunset time in your location and plan your day accordingly, check out the traffic in your area, navigate to the closest charity Iftar, find and share recipes, and enjoy Ramadan content on YouTube ranging from drama series and comedy sketches and health tips to stay fit during the 30 days of fasting.”

Google has been known to provide topical solutions with local relevance.
