Twenty traffic booths have been set up at various crossings in India.

According to  SSP DC Dubey and Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Meerut range, Ashutosh Kumar, this is as a result of the ongoing traffic awareness month.

SP traffic PK Tiwari also commented on this.

"As many as 20 traffic booths are being set up in the city to facilitate issuing of challans by not disturbing normal flow of traffic. Traffic officials will be present at the traffic booths as per their duty hours."

The Times of India reports that these traffic booths will be used to deal with commuters, who break traffic rules at a fixed place, rather than hindering regular flow of traffic.
