Readers say Okada riders, street hawkers are not traffic robbers

A recent poll shows that readers disagree with Governor Ambode, who is blaming Okada riders, and street hawkers for the increase in traffic robbery.

Traffic robbers

On Tuesday, November 10th, Pulse Nigeria reported that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is blaming the high rate of traffic robbery in Lagos state on Okada riders and street hawkers.

He said it was obvious that traffic robbery was being carried out by people of this professions.

After saying this, Governor Ambode revealed the solution, which was the full enforcement of the Lagos Road Traffic Laws, especially the restriction of okada and tricycle operations.

Readers were asked if they agreed.

Surprisingly, everyone disagreed with the governor.

Last week, Governor Ambode showed his determination to fight the high rate of traffic robbery by going on an early morning patrol with some of his security chiefs.

They visited Onikan, an area with a high rate of traffic robbery.
