Sports car maker wins first Paul Walker's fatal crash lawsuit

Porsche has been found innocent of any wrongdoing in the first crash lawsuit against it.

Paul Walker's car crash

US District Judge, Phillip S Gutierrez, found the car maker innocent in the fatal crash, involving Walker and Rodas in a Carrera GT, in November 2013.

“Plaintiff has provided no competent evidence that death occurred as a result of any wrongdoing on the part of defendant,” the judge ruled.

In 2014, the widow of Rodas,Kristine Rodas, sued Porsche.

She claimed that the Carrera GT lacked proper safety features, a fuel cell and a crash cage, adding that of this resulted in the crash that killed her late husband, and Walker.

This is just one of the three lawsuits against Porsche.

While the auto manufacturer has won this one, there are two more cases.

These two were filed by the late actor's father, Paul Walker Sr., and his daughter, Meadow Walker.

Both have similar claims, blaming the car manufacturer for the death of their family member.
