Petroleum corporation assures Nigerians adequate fuel supply amid station queues

Ohi Alegbe, NNPC Spokesman have stated that the organisation has increased the number of fuel trucks from 160 to 250 per day in Abuja and environs so as to reduce the emerging fuel queues.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC assured the public of the availability of petroleum products and called on the public to refrain from hoarding, diversion and panic buying.

“Apart from the additional injection of volumes of petrol into the market, the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, PPMC has stepped up monitoring across fuel stations to ensure strict compliance with laid down rules and regulations on the sales and distribution of petroleum products,’’ NNPC spokesman said.

According to NNPC national petroleum motor spirit stock status published on February 18, there is an estimated supply sufficiency tillMarch 8 as it has a stock of 796.89 million litres of PMS. As at 16February, the organization has dispatched 1,136 trucks to depots to filling stations in the country
