Flutterwave CEO, ex-minister to speak at 2018 Coworking industry conference

Flutterwave CEO, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji and a former Minister of Communications have been scheduled to speak at the 2018 coworking conference.

Aboyeji, will be joined by Dr Omobola Johnson, ex-Minister of Communication Technology and a partner at TLCom, Kola Aina of Ventures Park, and Ola Brown of Greentree Investment Company, to speak to participants of the 2018 edition of the conference.

Organised by Venia Business in collaboration with Access Bank, the conference is themed Coworking: The Catalyst for Innovation.

According to Kola Oyeneyin, CEO, Venia Business Hub and the creator, Coworking Conference Nigeria, the conference is aimed at connecting the dots of how coworking, co-creation, collaboration and technology are spurring innovation, entrepreneurship, wealth and job creation, while charting the course for a new economy and the future of work.

Oyeneyin noted that the importance of the Coworking industry has been established by His Excellency, the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo during his working visits to various Coworking Hubs across the country.

"We are happy to see various stakeholders embracing Coworking and leveraging on its possibilities to drive entrepreneurship. LagosInnovates is one such example of the response to Coworking Conference and we expect to see much more exciting collaborations and initiatives by various ecosystem enablers," said Oyeneyin.

The 2018 conference which invites pre-qualified entrepreneurs, freelancers, service providers and investors will hold on Thursday July 26, 2018 at IMAX Filmhouse, Lekki, Lagos.

The entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nigeria has seen a fundamental shift since the emergence of Coworking and Tech Hubs, with many leading start-ups tracing their start-up locations to Coworking spaces - including Taxify, Flutterwave, Branch Int’l and AutoGenius, amongst others.

This conference sees policy makers, entrepreneurs, investors, service providers, the media and coworking space operators unveil the opportunities and value chain of the industry.
