Nigeriarealestatehub reports that this is as a result of the partnership between the Ogun Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC) and Lafarge Africa Plc.

At the unveiling, the Managing Director, WAPCO Operations, Lafarge Africa Plc, Mrs. Adepeju Adebajo, said the estate was part of the company's plan to reduce Nigeria's 17 million housing deficit.

Then, the Head of Affordable Housing and Building, Lafarge Africa Plc, Ms. Jumoke Adegunle, revealed what the firm contributed to the project.

“We were invited by OPIC in December last year to construct 10 homes. The mandate was to do the homes in good quality, the right specification and to deliver in four weeks. What we delivered are concrete structures and the roof in partnership with Tye-Walls. Afterwards, OPIC will do the finishing of doors, windows and painting, among others.

What we have on ground right now is Lafarge concrete and expertise in enabling companies like OPIC to deliver affordable housing to people. We have already completed the 10 units and are currently in talks to do more. We brought our expertise in cement, aggregate, design and building.”

Last month, Ogun state government also provided a housing estate with 96 flats for residents.

According to Adedayo Adeneye, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, the estate has modern facilities.
