Government to spend N634.5m on WAEC fees

This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Education, Danladi Abdulhamid while speaking to journalists in Minna after the State Executive Council meeting.

The government of Niger State is set to spend the sum of N634.5 million on the payment of WAEC or NECO registration fees for 34,957 candidates in the state.

This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Education, Danladi Abdulhamid while speaking to journalists in Minna after the State Executive Council meeting.

Abdulhamid also said that the government’s free education policy included the provision of school uniforms to the female students in the state.

He also said that the government took over N4 billion from the Universal Basic Commission fund between 2007 and 2012 in order to complete all projects started under the scheme.
