Shilling steady, seen under pressure from end-month dollar demand

Kenya's shilling was steady on Thursday, and traders said it was seen easing slightly due to end-month importer dollar demand from sectors like energy and manufacturing.

At 0725 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 101.10/20 to the dollar.

This rate is unchanged from Wednesday's close. The shilling has gained 1.1 percent against the dollar so far this year.
