Goodluck Jonathan Expressway opened to reduce traffic gridlocks

The Goodluck Jonathan Expressway has been opened to relieve the constant traffic there.

According to the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, this road, previously known as the  Inner Southern Expressway (ISEX), is only 90% completed, but had to be opened to ease traffic within the city centre.

He represented by Dr Babatope Ajakaiye, FCT Permanent Secretary.

The Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority, Adamu Ismaila, gave details of the ISEX.

"The road is designed as a 2x2-lane service carriageways and 2x3-lane main carriageways making a total of 10 lanes with four interchanges and four box culverts at various locations,” he said.
