FCMB at it again... opens Flexx Hub in LASPOTECH Ikorodu, set to thrill students with Small Doctor Live in Concert!

Nigerian lender, First City Monument Bank, known for its strong youth empowerment and development drive, on Monday, April 09 2018 formally opened its Flexx Hub in LASPOTECH Ikorodu Main Campus to cater to the banking needs of the students.

Not only that, the Bank reconstructed the main gate of the school, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The grand opening on Monday marked the start of a week of exciting activation activities, where youths have been stopping by the Flexx Hub to #FlexxWithFCMB. There has been great music, games shows, talent contests and social media giveaways which have seen various students and other youths win fantastic gifts.

To cap it all, popular Nigerian singer Small Doctor will be live in concert at LASPOTECH on Thursday, April 12, 2018 to thrill the students to some of his biggest hits. The concert is exclusively for FCMB customers. The FCMB Flexx Hub in LASPOTECH is the fourth such structure to be unveiled by FCMB. It serves as an exclusive banking arena where basic banking transactions can be carried out by the Bank’s customers who hold its youth account, known as Flexx. The FCMB Flexx Hub also allows "Flexxers" enjoy benefits such as free wifi, charging ports etc.

The Flexx proposition has been designed to meet the overall financial and other socio-economic needs of young people from the age range of 16 to 25 years. This is summarized in the description of Flexx as, “An app, a card, an account”, features which give account holders the freedom to bank on the go, using the Flexx Mobile App and also using *329#.

Declaring the Flexx Hub open, the Executive Director, Business Development of FCMB, Mrs. Bukola Smith, said that the Flexx Hub will go a long way to promote financial inclusion among students of LASPOTECH Ikorodu, surrounding academic institutions and communities. The goal is to inspire and empower the youth and in the process, reinforce FCMB’s values as a simple, reliable and helpful financial institution anchored on the culture of excellence.

Also speaking, the Rector of LASPOTECH, Mr. Samuel Sogunro, expressed gratitude to FCMB for bringing its excellent banking services to the school.

On his part, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh enthused that setting up the Flexx Hub in LASPOTECH is another step in the right direction for FCMB and commended the bank for its contributions to the development of youths and education in Lagos State.
