Kwara state governor announces plans to upgrade, enforce traffic laws

The governor of Kwara state, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, is ready to upgrade and enforce traffic and environmental laws.

Speaking with journalists at the Ilorin International Airport, he said this was necessary because in population.

“We must be proactive to cope with the issues of environmental sanitation and traffic challenges as Kwara State is gradually evolving into a commercial hub with increasing population."

Governor Ahmed is not the only one interesting in the full enforcement of traffic laws in his state.

Earlier this month, the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Relations in Lagos state, Mr. Seye Oladejo, revealed the government's plan to pay special attention to the enforcement of traffic laws, especially the Traffic Law 2012.

“The State Government is coming out fully to implement all these laws through our relevant government agencies and the security operatives."
