Ronda Rousey Nearly Lost a Finger in a 'Freak Accident' on the Set of '911'

Ronda Rousey has a reputation for being pretty tough , and she just gave everybody another reason to believe it. In an Instagram post, the wrestler and actress shared that she very narrowly avoided losing one of her fingers after a "freak accident" on the set of Ryan Murphy's procedural drama 911.

Ronda Rousey Just Narrowly Avoided Losing a Finger

Ever the professional, she held it together until the end of the take before informing the director that her finger was practically hanging off. She was swiftly taken to hospital where the doctors were able to repair the damage... and then she went back to work filming the very next day.

"So the word is out I nearly lost my finger shooting @911onfox," she wrote. "Freak accident, first take of the day a boat door fell on my hand, I thought I just jammed my fingers so I finished the take before looking (I know it sounds crazy, but Im used to live audiences and never showing pain unless Im supposed to) after a break in the action I told our director the situation and was rushed via ambulance to the hospital where they promptly reattached my bone and tendon with a plate and screws."

In the post, Rousey shows off her injury. Fair warning: it's kind of graphic.

Now, we already knew Rousey was a legend (let's not forget she was the first ever woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame , a notorious boys' club), but this is some next-level badassery.

"I returned to filming the next day and finished my scenes before returning home to recover," Rousey continued. "Modern medicine amazes me, I already had 50% range of motion back in 3 days. Theres so much more than I can write here, stayed tuned via @rondarouseydotcom for the full story. And of course tune in to see how well I can act like my finger didnt just fall off in this upcoming season of @911onfox."

We'd expect nothing less from the Baddest Woman on the Planet.
