'Jeopardy' Host Alex Trebek Says He's 'Feeling Great' After Most Recent Pancreatic Cancer Treatment

Were not afraid to admit that Alex Trebek is a role model. The Jeopardy! host is smart, sophisticated, and even a in his nearly four decades as a television institution hes brought us some . And when, last year, the 79-year-old Trebek was , he showed us how to with class and grace.

Alex Trebek Shares Update on Cancer Treatment

Now hes back with some good news. On his Twitter feed this morning, Trebek on his diagnosis. He started by wishing everyone well during these strange times, then joking that, As many of you know, whenever theres a break in our Jeopardy! tape schedule, I often take that opportunity to grow some facial hair. Looking silver-fox healthy with a neatly trimmed beard, he went on to tease a special series of Jeopardy! episodes to air this month, including the very first, featuring Trebek in a 80s-era moustache. Hes currently recording new introductions to these curated episodes.

On a more personal note, Trebek went on to share some news about his medical diagnosis. His treatment is going well, he said, though it leaves him fatigued. My numbers are good, he said. Im feeling great. And, because hes Alex Trebek, he used this time to, you know, write a bookthe man is undergoing cancer treatment, recording Jeopardy! intros, and publishing a book.

But as always he found time to extend his care to other people. Rather than sign off with news about himself, he wished all his viewers to stay safe. Just another reason to appreciate Alex Trebek, cultural institution and all-around decent guy.
