The New York Academy has advised that Nigerians interested in film production possess the required talent so as to remain globally relevant.

Blake Babbitt, Director of Performing Arts Admissions, New York Film Academy, told press in Lagos that he planned to meet young Nigerians and provide them opportunities at the academy, adding that they are ready to train Nigerians in the different stages of film production.

"The New York Film Academy is expanding its curriculum as well as its global presence with five established campuses and many destination programs worldwide. The founder of the Academy, Jerry Sherlock, designed the academy that was not only affordable, but more importantly, was founded on the principle of learning by doing."

"We are also in Nigeria to find and encourage more amazing young Nigerians interested in the different processes of film production. We strongly believe that these young Nigerians should be adequately equipped with storytelling, writing, producing, directing and editing skills,'' said Babbitt.

He also said that young Nigerians would have the chance to make choices from a wide range of visual and performing arts programs such as film making, acting for film and 3D animation and visual effects.
