Creative Director of Needlepoint, Theresa Onwuka presents movement in form of color as well as variations to depict own interpretation

Nigerian fashion brand, Needlepoint presents “The Freedom Collection”, an everyday fashion piece. It is trendy, stylish and available in different colours. The collection was designed on the premise that being free is everyone’s fundamental right. Needlepoint is known for its classy and elegant designs which have been worn by top Nigerian celebrities such as Kate Henshaw, Rita Domnic, Eku Edewor and many more.

On the 5th of December, “The Freedom Collection” hit the much awaited runway at Africa International Fashion week which was declared open by the first Lady of Lagos State Mrs Abimbola Fashol at Oriental Hotel Lagos.

The Creative Director of Needlepoint, Theresa Onwuka, used slits, openings, movement in form and color as well as variations in fabric texture to depict her own interpretation of freedom i.e. spiritual, mental or physical. Dominant colors in the collection are burgundy which represents life is in the blood, White which represents peace and Yellow which represents ray of hope. With each piece, the stylish designs and beadwork are in its classic form which the brand is known for.
