Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) is an annual accolade presented by Multichoice recognising outstanding achievement in television and film, voted on by the general public.The inaugural Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards ceremony was held in Lagoson 9 March 2013, and was broadcast live in more than 50 countries. 5 years later, the AMVCA has become one of the most coveted awards in the African film and television industry.

Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, the Channel Director of Africa Magic spoke about his excitement for the 6th edition of the show. He said, “We are delighted to once again celebrate outstanding achievements in the African film and television industry on the platform of the AMVCAs. As always, we promise a night filled with exciting and stellar performances led by some Africa’s biggest names in the music industry. Our viewers at home will not miss a moment of the event, as they can tune in to all Africa Magic channels on Saturday, September 1, to see who wins the coveted AMVCA titles.”

The awards will once again be co-hosted by South African media darling Minnie Dlamini-Jones, and the host with the most, IK Osakioduwa. For the second year running, the duo will be thrilling the audience with their charm and chemistry.Lagos is alive as celebrities from all over the content descend on the city ready to take part in the legendary awards show.
