The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria team dished on why Yemi Alade was made the ambassador of this year's event amongst other information and what to expect this year in an exclusive chat with Pulse TV.
The reps for AFWN 2016, Jide 'JReason' Adedeji and Yetunde 'Yetty D' Ogunnubi spoke about the singer's unique style as the major unique point for choosing her as face for the 'Connecting Africa' themed event for this year.
"Even from her nail polish to her hair and the way dresses speaks African, because AFWN more like tells a story so when Yemi Alade was mentioned it just clicked..." Jide Adedeji said. "She captures the whole essence of Africa, if you watch her videos and style and everything" Yetty Ogunnubi added.

The duo also revealed a lot of surprises set to be unveiled as the show wraps up later today noting that there are efforts put into making the AFWN platform even bigger this year.
AFWN showcase kicked off yesterday 2nd July at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos with upcoming designers presenting their latest collections.
The show wraps up today 3rd July 2016 with a gala later at 6pm. Tickets are available at Eko Hotel & Suites.
