The Lagos Countdown 2014 kicked off officially on Monday the 22nd of December with about 20 A-list artistes billed to perform.

If you are still in the dark as to where all the Lights we are talking about is, then do not grope in it, The Lagos Countdown 2014 kicked off officially on Monday the 22nd of December.

The Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) , members of the state executive council and other dignitaries took a tour at the Barbeach stretch of the Victoria Island , a once deserted area that has now become the haven of Fun Seekers and a relaxation spot.

The event which saw the switching on and displaying of Light designs all over the stretch of Ahmadu Bello way, witnessed words of exaltation by the governor, where he lauded the efforts of Lagosians and the staff of Lagos state Signage and Advertisement Agency at the ability to bring about such aesthetic out of locally sourced items. The governor also used the moment to enjoin Lagosians to vote for Mr Ambode, The APC Flag bearer in the next Governorship election, stating that is the only way to ensure continuity of progressive doings in Lagos.The Lagos Countdown is an annual event by the Lagos State Government to mark the end of the year with the grand finale on the 31st of December. The theme for this year is “Like Never before” and about 20 A-list artistes are billed to perform this year.
