Majek Fashek, Adekunle Gold, Tomi Thomas perform at fourth anniversary

As it's always been the tradition on the night of music celebration, the headliner acts didn't fail to impress and make the evening a memorable one for the fans.

This was a special edition as it marked four years since the show's inception, and with this milestone comes some interesting changes in how the program organisers planned to move the concert forward.

The Obadikah brass band were the first acts to hit the stage followed by eclectic singer and songwriter, Tomi Thomas who was an instant crowd stunner, with his infectious stage persona, letting his voice stand out as he performs his latest single 'JJC'.

A surprise performance from the legendary singer Majek Fashek beheld the night, as the reggae singer took to the stage to perform his classics - 'Send down the rain', and 'Little patience' greeted by a loud ovation by the crowd, singing along to his music.

YBNL crooner Adekunle Gold took the stage as the last act owning the stage with his cheerful songs which lit up the fans' mood before rounding off his performance in beautiful fashion with the upbeat single 'My life', leaving the fans much satisfied at the end of the night.

Ade Bantu announced to the displeasure and booing of the crowd that going forward the event Afropolitan Vibes will no longer hold monthly, but rather on a quarterly basis, explaining that the team plan on expanding the reach of the concert beyond Lagos and Nigeria, taking it other parts of Africa.

Bantu also revealed that the concert will equally be holding on the mainland to cater for the music audience over there. The arrangements he says will be spelt out in detail soon.

The next edition is said to hold in June of 2017.
