Stay fit while travelling

Being able to maintain a healthy lifestyle in our day-to-day is no easy feat, and it gets even more difficult while travelling.

However, this is still no excuse to go off the rails completely, the following will help you balance staying in shape with your travelling.

  1. Pack your workout gear- this serves as motivation and reminds to workout. It also eliminates the familiar 'nothing to wear' excuse.

  2. Schedule your workouts- set a reminder on your phone, this way you do not forget.

  3. Try to do something no matter how small it feels- You can do home exercises like push-ups, crunches, tricep dips, focus more on whole body exercises rather than those targeted at specific areas. The important thing to remember is that the issue is to stay fit, so, even 15 to 30 minutes are better than nothing.

  4. Try eating healthy- Though it is quite easy to let yourself go while travelling, try to eat healthy, either by focusing on portion control or choosing cheat days carefully.

  5. Sleep- One good about travelling, especially for fun, is you get to sleep properly so, ensure you get your eight hours of sleep and your body will thank you.

When all fails, just try to go on walks, this really helps keep the body fit.
