Incase you didn't know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Ironically, it's  also a largely skipped meal with many folks too busy and caught up in their everyday routine to stop for a spot of meal before starting the day.

  1. Healthy: When you kick the day off with a meal, you build your energy level and this helps us function better. Moreso, studies reveal that nutrition received eating breakfast reduces the chance of developing high blood pressure and other heart related disorders. This may not be unconnected with the fact that when you don't feel hungry, you're less likely to feel grumpy and tense.

  2. Improves brain function: Starting the day off with a meal boosts energy levels and also helps improve concentration.

  3. Helps metabolism: Food in the morning serves as a healthy alert to the body to start working, thus boosting metabolism through the day.

  4. Helps with weight loss: When you have a healthy breakfast, you're less likely to feel hungry later in the day and then consumer an excess number of calories.

  5. Lowers risk of diabetes: When meals are skipped, a hyper insulin response could occur when calories are consumed later on, meaning that the level of insulin is more than the glucose level leading to tometabolic disorder. In essence, when you eat breakfast you're less likely to overeat later in the day thereby reducing the chances of a high insulin level which invariably leads to the development of diabetes.
