Mother of 1 pours hot water on 9-yr-old maid

A 26-year-old mother of one, Ifeoma Mbakwe, has been arrested and is facing charges for battering her 9-year-old housemaid, Chinwedu Precious, and pouring a pot of hot water on the poor girl, who is currently writhing in pains at the REM-YEMS Hospital, Alagbado, Lagos State, reports PM News.

The ugly incident whih happened on Sunday, December 27, 2015, has drawn condemnation from all after the woman carried out the dastardly act.

Mbakwe, an indigene of Anambra State and resides at Idowu Street, Alagbado, according to witnesses, had a reputation for brutalising the kid at every slight but took it too far on that day due to a slight fraction by the girl and would have escaped but for youths in the area who apprehended her and handed her over to the police who have arraigned her in court.

An angry resident who identified herself as Joy Sunday, described Mbakwe's actions as wickedness of the highest order and advised relevant authorities to make sure she is prosecuted to serve as a lesson to others.

“The action of Mrs. Mbakwe is a disgrace to us who are women. How can a mother do this kind of a thing to another woman’s child and at the time everyone is celebrating?” Sunday queried.
