Man arrested for chaining his son for 2 months

A man has been arrested after he chained his own son and hid him inside the house for two months.

By th timethe victimwas rescues, his hands were already decaying as a result of injuries he sustained from the iron chains.

In his defence during his interrogation, the older Lawal said his son had been disgracing him and brining shame to the family and that was why he had him chained so as not to let him out.

Respite came for the victim when his close friend, Tayo Olukoju, discovered him in the room where he was hidden by his father after he had been declared missing by the father.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Supol Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that the victim has been taken to a general hospital where he is receiving treatment while the father will be charged to court after investigations.
