Robbers shoot final year student to death

The robbers, who had been collecting money, mobile phones and other valuables from other customers, shot the deceased for allegedly arguing with them when they demanded his cash.

The student was shot to death while helping admission seekers process their screening forms.

According to Punch, Wilson was at the bank to process admission screening forms for students seeking an entry to the university when the incident happened.

He had reportedly sold out some of the forms before the robbers entered the bank. The deceased was shot after arguing and refusing to part away with his money.

A source who spoke on a condition of anonymity gave an account of the incident.

Expressing his sadness over the killing of the undergraduate, he said, “The killing of Wilson is very painful. He was a final year engineering student who was in the business of processing screening forms for admission seekers.

“He was on the premises of the bank on Tuesday to look for customers among those who had purchased the forms.

“Some armed robbers stormed the place and started collecting people’s valuables and cash at gunpoint.

“Wilson argued with them and in the process, they shot him.”

Lamenting further on the incident, the source blamed the death of the student on the ongoing strike at the school.

According to him, Wilson would have running his compulsory industrial training if not for the unfortunate strike.
