Yesterday, June 2, 2016, there was a fire outbreak in a tower beside National Assembly Complex, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island.

The fire started in the evening and Berger Fire services and firefighters responded, albeit late.

Security agents were also on hand to control the crowd, safely evacuate people and prevent others from getting into the building.

Many documents and property were destroyed in the inferno.
