She, however returned on stage to render her Motown-influenced single, 'Tattooed Heart' which earned her a standing ovation from Madam Obama.
The little singing bird returned to join heavy weights such as Jill Scott, Tessane Chine, Melissa Etheridge, Patti LaBelle and Janelle Monae to singe Tina Turner’s all time best, 'Proud Mary'.
It was one hell of an evening and if anyone was in doubt as to whether, President Obama and Michelle knew how to put together a great party, this was all the confirmation they needed!
