A Brazilian lady has fulfilled her dream of experiencing death for one day by staging her own funeral.

Vera Lucia da Silva claims that being dead for one day was the best day of her life.

The 44-year-old reportedly received consent from her husband to join in the celebration of the Day of Dead in South American.

The funeral ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 2, at a funeral home in Camocim, with all her friends and family in attendance.

Vera said, "I wanted to hold my own funeral 14 years ago. I've waited a long time and can't believe that at last this wish has been granted.

"When I invited my friends and family they thought I was joking and they didn't take it seriously.

"Being dead was the best day of my life."

Vera obviously had a blast playing dead for one day and recorded it all.
