Policeman arrested for raping 7-yr-old girl in Kano

A police officer's work is mainly to keep the law but a randy member of the force has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor.

Rape must be frowned upon seriously.

A police corporal serving in Kano State, Sani Salisu, has been arrested and detained for allegedly raping a 7-year-old girl.

According to reports, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Magaji Majiya, announced the arrest of the randy officer, reiterating that the force is doing everything possible to weed out bad eggs.

"The command wishes to inform the public that in its effort to flush out the bad eggs from the force, it has arrested a serving member of the force, Cpl. Sani Salisu.

He was arrested for luring and taking advantage of a seven-year-old girl inside a kiosk located at Mangoron Mahauta Brigade Qtrs., Kano."

The statement also added that the state Police Commissioner, Ibrahim Idris, had directed that the case be transferred immediately to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation while promising that the public will be kept abreast on the development in the case.
