According to Adigun, “The partnership between La Casera and SON dates way back and the La Casera brand’s approval is also not in question in any way.

“As regulators, our duty is not to stifle businesses, but we would rather be seen as growth partners, and a body responsible for ensuring that only excellent products which can compete across the globe are churned out to the public.

“We believe that companies who open their doors to us to conduct factory tours such as this have nothing to hide and are doing the right thing.

“We therefore hope to continue this partnership and good relationship with The La Casera Company and work together for the benefit of all stakeholders, including the consumers.”

The Acting DG, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Mr. Segun Ajayi-Kadir, who was also present at the tour, appreciated the management of The La Casera Company for its doggedness even during times such as this when several companies are closing shop due to several economic reasons and in the face of limiting factors to business growth.

He also extolled the company on its visibly huge financial investment in the food and beverage sector, and therefore encouraged them not to relent in their effort.
